August 2025, I told myself that I was going to take a break from writing. That lasted for about a week before I started a little passion project after reading a random prompt on Bluesky. Worked To Death isn’t my first Sci-Fi Horror, but it is the one that’s gotten the closest to being seen by any sort of public.

After Ian Bennet needed to miss work from an accident, he was told that the office building he worked in was shutting down and the company was going all remote. This would be great, if Ian didn’t need things from his desk to do his job. Convinced by his work bestie Nick to break into the building one night, Ian makes a horrifying discovery; all of his coworkers are still in the building, and they’re looking less and less ‘lively’ by the day.

With 190 people enslaved in the corporate machine (literally), Ian and Nick work to sneak the stuck out of the system and turn them to the saved, while avoiding getting caught. All while falling in love with each other.
